About
True Resilience
We are a clinic committed to creating an inclusive and trauma-informed space where you feel understood, accepted, and respected.
We work with various concerns including (but not limited to) challenging family dynamics, relationship issues, chronic illness and cancer, grief, trauma, and depression and anxiety. Within these dynamics, we have a particular focus on the impact of the intersection of the immigrant identity with these experiences.
We believe that every challenge we face holds the potential for growth, and that it is possible to emerge on the other side—empowered to live more authentically to who you are and who you want to be.
Our Philosophy
At True Resilience Psychotherapy, we are all about creating an open and non-judgmental space where you can shed the cultural expectations of who you ‘should’ be, and where you can feel true safety and freedom to explore your authentic path to resiliency.
A space for collaboration
We believe that everybody’s path to healing is different, and individual.
Our team of therapists create a space in therapy that is collaborative– meaning that both you and your therapist are equally involved in deciding what matters to you, what therapy will look like, and the path you’ll take together.
Some folks prefer to have homework to practice strategies outside of session, whereas others want therapy to be an hour dedicated to unpacking and building insight without that focus on the practical strategies. We’ll explore and refine throughout the process of therapy—what you need from therapy in order to benefit from the experience.
It’s so important to de-mystify the therapy process, so you can feel empowered to take your mental health needs into your own hands.
That’s why we offer free 20 minute consultations, where there is no obligation to continue with your therapist. You can learn more about the therapy process, explore what therapy might feel like, and ask any questions you have!
Whether you’re ready to start therapy, or just curious and want to learn more about what therapy would be like, I encourage you to get in touch to see if we are the right fit for each other.
