Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
What is your general style or philosophy of therapy
My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply curious about your inner experience. I offer a space where you can slow down and reconnect with emotions that may have been pushed aside for a long time. Many of my clients grew up in families where vulnerability wasn’t encouraged and love was shown through discipline, achievement, or self-sacrifice rather than open expression. Together, we explore how those early experiences shape your relationships, self-image, and ways of coping today.
Do you use any specific therapeutic modalities or techniques?
I draw from several approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you:
Psychodynamic Therapy - exploring how past experiences influence your present life
Internal Family Systems (IFS) - understanding the different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion
Attachment-Based and Relational Therapy - noticing how you connect with others and how that shows up in therapy
Somatic Therapy - paying attention to what your body holds and how it can guide healing
What should clients know about working with you?
My style is calm and conversational. I listen closely and gently invite reflection. At times, I’ll challenge you to look deeper, but always with care and support. In our work, you might learn to:
Recognize and express your emotions more freely.
Understand how family or cultural expectations shape your sense of self and how it's affected you today.
Build stronger boundaries and more authentic relationships with others.
Move from self-criticism toward self-understanding and confidence.
Why did you choose this profession?
Growing up between cultures, I’ve experienced firsthand the tension between family expectations, belonging, and individuality. My own journey through psychodynamic therapy helped me understand myself beyond the roles I was taught to play, as a woman, daughter, or caretaker.
That experience inspired me to support others who feel caught between different worlds, such as who they were expected to be and who they truly are. My work allows me to walk alongside clients as they untangle these layers and reconnect with their voice, emotions, and experiences.
What do you find most meaningful about the work you do?
I love discovering how people adapt to their environment, even though those coping mechanisms aren’t always useful. I’m in awe of the natural resilience of people to continue persevering through challenging situations and suffering.
